In a devastating incident on Wednesday, a motorcyclist lost his life after his motorcycle was involved in a fatal accident near Dharana Chowk in Mendhar. The victim, identified as Javed Iqbal, aged 44 and the son of Abdul Hamid from Dharana, initially sustained injuries in the collision. Despite efforts to save him, Iqbal tragically succumbed to his injuries at the Sub District Hospital Mendhar later in the evening.
According to officials, the unfortunate accident occurred at approximately 1600 hours when the motorcycle bearing registration number JK12A-3691 was involved in the collision. The local authorities swiftly responded, promptly shifting the injured motorcyclist to the Sub District Hospital Mendhar for immediate medical attention. However, despite the best efforts of the medical staff, Iqbal’s injuries proved fatal, and he passed away at around 1830 hours.
Dr Ashfaq Ahmed, the Block Medical Officer (BMO) at Mendhar, confirmed the tragic demise of Javed Iqbal.
