Prime Minister Modi, who is currently on a two-day state visit to Egypt, was warmly welcomed by President El-Sisi at the Presidential Palace. The two leaders subsequently engaged in a one-on-one meeting, where they exchanged views on further deepening the bilateral ties between their nations.
Arriving in Cairo on Saturday afternoon after a successful visit to the United States, Prime Minister Modi wasted no time in engaging with the Egyptian leadership to explore new areas of cooperation. On Saturday, he held discussions with the India Unit led by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. The India Unit, established by President El-Sisi, aims to enhance the bilateral relationship between India and Egypt.
It is noteworthy that President El-Sisi was the chief guest at this year’s Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi, where both leaders collectively decided to elevate the bilateral relationship to the level of a strategic partnership. This visit to Egypt by Prime Minister Modi is a testament to the significance India places on its relations with Egypt and its commitment to deepening ties in various sectors.
