The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) celebrated its foundation day at Marwah with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event, presided over by the party’s State Secretary, Advocate Sheikh Nasir Hussain, witnessed a large gathering of party functionaries and workers at Dak Bungalow Nawpachi.
During his address, Sheikh Nasir Hussain emphasized the unwavering commitment of PDP towards the development of Marwah Warwan, asserting that the region has always been a top priority for the party. He credited the late Lt. Mufti Mohd Sayed for significant contributions, including road connectivity, solar lights, and the elevation of Marwah to Tehsil status.
However, Sheikh Nasir did not shy away from criticizing rival parties. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), and Apni Party of making hollow promises to lure the people for electoral gains. He questioned their credibility by asking why these parties failed to initiate significant development in the region during their tenure in power corridors.
The gathering also witnessed speeches from various party leaders, including Zonal President Inderwal Nazir Ahmed Lone. He addressed local issues and challenges faced by the people and stressed the importance of grassroots efforts in strengthening the party.
Prominent figures present at the celebration included Mohd Iqbal Lone, Block President; Aziz Mohd Bakshi, Block Secretary; Ghulam Mustafa Lone, Vice President; and senior leaders such as Mohd Ramzan, Ghulam Rasool Sheikh, Abdul Aziz Lone, Sajjad Hussain Malik, Abdul Rehman Butt, Mohd Iqbal Gehnu, Ghulam Nabi Lone, Ghulam Ali Malik, Mohd Amin Lone, Mohd Rafi, Ch. Parvez Ahmed, Haji Manzoor Ahmed, Mohd Shareef, Ghulam Rasool Parrey, Mehmood Ahmed Malik, Mohd Mukhtar Malik, and Dr. Shahfeen Haider.
