In a bid to enhance border security and surveillance, the Indian army has strategically implemented cutting-edge smart fences equipped with state-of-the-art sensors and CCTV cameras along the Line of Control (LoC). This advancement in technology aims to deter infiltration attempts and fortify the nation’s borders, according to Jammu-based army public relations officer Lt Col Suneel Bartwal.
During a recent visit to the forward areas in the Akhnoor and Poonch sectors, Lt Col Bartwal briefed a group of journalists on the innovative strategies and technological advancements the army has adopted to secure the LoC. He emphasized that the integrated sensor and camera technologies provide an unprecedented level of security by detecting even the slightest movement and transmitting real-time alerts to the control center.
The fusion of traditional methods and technological innovation has redefined the role of the modern Indian soldier, as showcased by the soldiers’ commitment to constant improvement and operational readiness.
