In a tragic incident on Friday, two individuals lost their lives and eleven others sustained injuries when a suspicious object detonated within a scrap dealer’s shop located in the Kabadi Nallah area of Drass, Kargil district in Ladakh. Officials reported that the incident took place earlier today.
The explosion occurred within the premises of the scrap dealer’s establishment, sending shockwaves through the Kabadi Nallah vicinity. According to initial information provided by local authorities, the explosion resulted in the deaths of two individuals, one of whom was a non-local. Additionally, eleven individuals were injured due to the impact of the blast.
The injured victims were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. The extent of their injuries remains under assessment, and medical professionals are working diligently to provide the necessary care.
