In a tragic incident, an Army personnel lost his life due to electrocution after coming in contact with a live wire inside a camp in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred late on Sunday night, as confirmed by officials. The soldier, identified as 25-year-old Deepak Pandey, belonging to the engineering squadron, was reportedly working on a project at the time of the accident.
Hailing from the state of Uttarakhand, Deepak Pandey was quickly rushed to the military hospital following the electrocution incident. Despite immediate medical attention, he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
The authorities have initiated inquest proceedings to investigate the circumstances surrounding the soldier’s untimely death. As per official sources, the necessary legal formalities will be completed before the body of the deceased is transported to his hometown for the final rites.
