Two Militant Associates Apprehended with Arms and Ammunition in Uri: Baramulla Police

In a significant development, the Baramulla Police have successfully dismantled a suspected terrorist module in the Uri region of Baramulla. Acting on credible intelligence, the law enforcement agency apprehended two militant associates affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit. Alongside the arrests, the police also confiscated a cache of incriminating material, including arms and ammunition. The case has been registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Arms Act at the Uri Police Station.

The operation, carried out with precision and caution, resulted in the detention of two individuals believed to be associated with one of the most notorious militant groups in the region, the LeT. The suspects, whose identities have not yet been disclosed by the authorities, are currently in police custody pending further investigation.

Baramulla Police, in a statement released on the social media platform X, confirmed the successful operation, stating, “Baramulla Police busted a Terror Module; 2 Terrorist Associates of LeT outfit arrested in Uri B’la; Incriminating material recovered. Case under UA (P) & Arms Act in PS Uri.”

Authorities are expected to provide further details of the operation as the investigation unfolds.
