Eight Non-Locals Injured in Vibrator Blast in Anantnag: Police

In an unfortunate incident today, eight non-local individuals sustained injuries when a Cement Mix Settling Vibration Machine, commonly known as a “Vibrator,” exploded while on a load carrier they were traveling in. The incident occurred in Anantnag district, located in the southern region of Kashmir, on Wednesday.

According to officials, a Tata Mobile vehicle with registration number JK18-4476 was en route from Dooru to Dialgam in Anantnag when the incident took place at Larkipora in Anantnag. The vibration machine suddenly detonated inside the vehicle, causing injuries to all eight non-local passengers on board.

The injured individuals were promptly transported to GMC Janglatmandi Anantnag for medical treatment, as reported by the police. The victims have been identified as Chato Kumar (18 years old), Param Jeet (22 years old), Bhawan Kumar (21 years old), Fiqan (17 years old), Jiten (21 years old), Titu Kumar (23 years old), Matlesh Kumar (19 years old), and Shan Kumar (17 years old). All of them hail from Bihar.

A police officer involved in the investigation confirmed that there is no apparent connection to militancy in this incident. Further details regarding the cause of the explosion and the condition of the injured individuals are under investigation.
