Driver Comes Under Tractor Trolley, Dies in Sumbal Bandipora

Bandipora – In a deeply unfortunate incident, a 22-year-old driver lost his life after a tragic accident involving a tractor trolley in the Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on this afternoon.

According to reports received by The Chenab Times, the victim has been identified as Rayees Ahmad Rather, the son of Abdul Qadir Rather, hailing from Wangipora Bala village in Sumbal. The unfortunate incident transpired while Rayees Ahmad Rather was engaged in repairing his tractor at his residence.

During the maintenance work, the trolley section of the tractor unexpectedly toppled onto the young driver, leading to a severe and fatal injury. Prompt action was taken by those present at the scene, rushing the injured driver to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Sumbal.

Tragically, despite the swift response and efforts made, the medical professionals at CHC Sumbal declared Rayees Ahmad Rather as “brought dead” upon arrival. This regrettable outcome left the local populace and his family devastated, casting a pall of grief over the entire area.
