In a heartbreaking incident, a vehicle carrying passengers from Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Katra met with a tragic accident on Friday morning, resulting in the death of a seven-year-old girl and injuries to seven others.

The ill-fated vehicle, en route to Delhi, was transporting a total of eight passengers when the accident occurred around 5:00 am in the Nomai area. According to reports from the Katra police, the vehicle lost its balance, overturned, and plunged into a gorge.

Local authorities, in collaboration with residents, swiftly initiated a rescue operation to aid those affected. The injured individuals were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention.

The identity of the deceased seven-year-old girl has been withheld pending family notification, and the conditions of the injured victims remain under medical evaluation. The authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the exact cause.
