Doda Road Accident Prompts District Bar Association Bhaderwah to Demand Accountability

In a solemn meeting convened today at the Bar room in Bhaderwah, the District Bar Association expressed profound grief over the tragic road accident that unfolded at Trungal Assar on the previous day. Under the leadership of President N P Khajuria, the association suspended its regular activities to address the devastating incident that claimed 40 lives and left over 5 individuals critically injured.

The Bar room in Bhaderwah became a somber setting as a two-minute silence was observed to honor the departed souls. The meeting focused on extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and fervently prayed for the eternal peace of the departed.

Amidst expressions of sorrow, the association underscored the need for swift and strict action against officials within the District administration deemed responsible for the tragic accident. The members unanimously demanded accountability, emphasizing the importance of identifying and addressing any negligence that might have contributed to the unfortunate incident.

In addition to the road accident, the Bar Association also voiced concern and resentment over a recent fire incident that occurred the previous night in Chinote Bhaderwah. The association called for the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against the officials of the Fire and Emergency Services in Bhaderwah. Their demand centered on allegations of negligence in maintaining fire extinguishers, which ultimately led to substantial losses in both residential and commercial properties.
