Javaid Iqbal, a senior officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Service (JKPS), formally assumed office as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Kishtwar today. The new SSP was welcomed with a ceremonial guard of honour at the District Police Headquarters, attended by senior police officers.
In a brief yet dignified function, the outgoing SSP, Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, handed over the charge to Javaid Iqbal. The occasion marked a seamless transition of leadership within the district police force.
Shortly after assuming his new role, SSP Javaid Iqbal convened an introductory meeting with the officers of the district police. Addressing the gathering, he underscored the importance of dedication and teamwork in resolving the challenges faced by the people of Kishtwar. He also emphasized maintaining open communication channels with the public, instructing officers to ensure their availability and approachability to address citizens’ concerns.
