Doda – A hawker from Uttar Pradesh tragically lost his life on Friday in a fatal accident near Bagdair village in Kahara tehsil of Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district.
Zahid Hussain, 40, son of Shahjad and a resident of Manauna in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, reportedly slipped in a hazardous area while conducting his routine rounds selling goods, police told The Chenab Times.
Local authorities responded swiftly to the scene of the incident, but Hussain was declared dead on arrival, officials confirmed.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident,” a police official said. “An investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances and rule out any foul play.”
Hussain’s death has cast a shadow over both his home relatives in Bareilly and the residents of Kahara, where he was known for his trade.
Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
