KISHTWAR, Feb 16 – A residential house was gutted in a fire on Friday in Kudhali Cherhar, Kishtwar district, local officials said.
The house, belonging to Aziz Mohammad, son of the late Mohammad Ramzan Beigh, was severely damaged in the blaze. A fire and emergency service personnel and a civilian sustained injuries while responding to the incident.
Firefighters, police, civil administration officials, the Red Cross, and local residents worked together to bring the fire under control. The Army and a PHE tanker were also deployed to assist in the operation.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire. An investigation is underway.
