Kashmir Business Community Welcomes Indian Heaven Premier League as Tourism Boost

The local business community in Kashmir welcomed the Indian Heaven Premier League (IHPL) on Friday, viewing the cricket event as a major lift for tourism and opportunities for young athletes, according to details received by The Chenab Times.

The Chamber of Commerce & Industries Kashmir (CCIK) and the J&K Hoteliers Club (JKHC) hosted a reception for the league’s international and national players at the Noor Lounge in the Radisson Srinagar.

Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya, chairman of the J&K Hoteliers Club, praised the organizers for selecting Srinagar as host. “This league will also boost tourism of Kashmir,” Chaya said, as reported by Ziraat Times. He pointed to the economic and publicity gains from the high-profile event.

CCIK President Tariq Ghani stressed the benefits for local talent. “It’s a great opportunity for the local players of J&K for playing with National and international players,” Ghani said. He vowed continued chamber support for such efforts.

The CCIK noted that Jammu and Kashmir youth are talented but lack platforms. Events like the IHPL help fill that void.

All CCIK office bearers attended the reception. The group thanked Noor Lounge owner Khaja Amir for hosting the high tea. Naseem Chaya, from the Mushtaq Group of Hotels, encouraged the players and promised full support.

The event ended with the launch of the IHPL logo and team jerseys.
