Elon Musk has declared the initial version of Grokipedia live on its website, describing it as an improvement over Wikipedia despite ongoing development.
In a post on X, the xAI founder shared that Grokipedia.com version 0.1 is now accessible to users. He stated that version 1.0 would be “10X better,” adding his opinion that the current release already surpasses Wikipedia, according to details received by The Chenab Times.
The announcement follows the platform’s recent rollout, which encountered a brief outage due to high traffic. Grokipedia, developed by Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI, features AI-generated articles aimed at providing an objective alternative to established online encyclopedias.
Musk’s post on X read: “https://grokipedia.com/ version 0.1 is now live. Version 1.0 will be 10X better, but even at 0.1 it’s better than Wikipedia imo,” as reported directly from the platform.
Early user reactions on X varied, with some expressing enthusiasm for the project and others questioning its reliability shortly after the update.
No timeline for version 1.0 was specified in the announcement.
