Kishtwar, March 24: The political and social fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district is in mourning following the passing of Jodh Ram Sharma, the father of Inderwal MLA Pyare Lal Sharma. His demise has prompted an outpouring of grief and condolences from elected representatives and public figures across the region.
Sharma, whose family has deep roots in the Inderwal constituency, is remembered fondly by those who knew him. His son, Pyare Lal Sharma, represents the Inderwal assembly segment and has been a prominent voice in Jammu and Kashmir’s legislative assembly.
Among the leaders to express condolences was Rajya Sabha MP Sajjad Kichloo, who said he was deeply saddened by the news. “May the departed soul rest in eternal peace, and may God grant strength and courage to Piyaray Lal Sharma ji and his entire family to bear this irreparable loss. In this hour of grief, my heartfelt condolences and prayers are with the bereaved family,” he said in a statement.
Tributes have also poured in from several other quarters, with well-wishers describing the loss as irreparable and extending prayers for the bereaved family. Condolences have been offered to MLA Pyare Lal Sharma and his family, with leaders urging the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and fortitude to the family during this difficult period.
