Udhampur, March 29: The District Administration of Udhampur on Friday disbursed ex-gratia relief to eligible beneficiaries under the road accident victim fund scheme. The financial assistance was provided to individuals and families affected by road accidents in line with the scheme’s provisions.
According to details received by The Chenab Times, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa, handed over the relief amounts to the entitled beneficiaries. The disbursement ceremony was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Bhat, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Mudassir Iqbal, and other officials from the relevant departments.
The scheme aims to provide financial support to victims of road accidents, offering a measure of relief during difficult times. The district administration has been actively identifying and processing applications to ensure that eligible individuals receive the benefits promptly.
