Multiple customers in Jammu and Kashmir have lodged serious complaints against a vehicle dealership, alleging that they have not received their purchased vehicles despite making full payments. The aggrieved buyers are now contemplating legal recourse against the dealership for alleged breach of trust and failure to deliver.
The Chenab Times has learned that a significant number of customers had paid substantial amounts to the dealership for the purchase of new vehicles. However, despite assurances and the passage of promised delivery timelines, the vehicles have not been handed over, leading to mounting frustration and distress among the buyers.
According to the affected individuals, the dealership has consistently delayed the delivery of the vehicles, citing various reasons. Customers report being met with excuses each time they inquire about their purchases, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and financial strain. Many of these buyers had made their purchase decisions based on personal and business commitments that were contingent on the timely arrival of their new vehicles.
The situation has not only led to financial inconvenience but also considerable mental harassment for those who paid in good faith. They have expressed their disappointment over what they describe as a breach of trust by the dealership. The customers have indicated that if the issue is not resolved promptly, they intend to escalate the matter by approaching the consumer court to pursue legal action.
“We trusted the dealership and completed the payments as required, but time has passed, and there is no sign of delivery. Every time we approach them, we are given new excuses,” stated one of the affected customers. Another added, “This is unacceptable. We paid in good faith, and such practices cannot be allowed to continue. We want either immediate delivery of the vehicles or a full refund.”
These allegations have sparked concerns regarding consumer protection mechanisms and business ethics within the region. Consumers are calling for increased vigilance and stricter oversight from relevant authorities to prevent such occurrences and safeguard the rights of buyers. The customers are demanding immediate intervention to ensure accountability from the dealership and to protect their consumer rights, emphasizing their desire for either the immediate delivery of the purchased vehicles or a complete refund of the amounts paid.
