SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the results for the Class 12 Annual Regular examinations of the 2026 session for the Summer Zone in Jammu Division. The examination, conducted in February-March 2026, saw an overall pass percentage of 88.85 percent, with female students achieving a higher pass rate than male students.

The Chenab Times has learned that girls recorded a pass percentage of 90.4 percent, while boys registered 87.51 percent. The results cover various streams, including Science, Commerce, Arts, and Home Science, with top-ranking students achieving scores close to perfect.

In the Science stream, Ayushi Sharma from Happy Model Higher Secondary School in Udhampur secured the highest marks with 497 out of 500, equivalent to 99.4 percent. The Commerce stream also saw a top score of 497 marks (99.4 percent) achieved by Manik Dogra of S P Higher Secondary School, Exchange Road in Jammu.

The Arts stream had joint toppers, Prince Prabhat Singh from Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, and Rudraansh Rajput from Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu. Both students scored 495 out of 500, achieving 99 percent.

For the Home Science stream, Siya Chouhan of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi, attained the first position with 458 marks out of 500, or 91.6 percent. These results reflect the academic performance of students across the Jammu Division’s Summer Zone.

Subject-wise analysis indicates strong performance in core subjects. Social Studies recorded a pass percentage of 96 percent, followed by Science and English, both at 94 percent. Mathematics also showed a high pass rate of 93 percent. These figures suggest a robust understanding of the curriculum among the student body.

The official gazette detailing the results highlighted that a significant number of students achieved distinction and first-division marks. This trend points towards an overall improvement in the academic outcomes for students in the Jammu Division. The evaluation process adhered to standard procedures set by the board.
