The Jammu and Kashmir administration has deployed 56 officials from various government departments to ensure the smooth conduct of the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to undergraduate courses in Nursing, Paramedical, and Technology. The examination is scheduled to take place on April 26, 2026.
According to details received by The Chenab Times, Government Order No. 826-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on April 23, outlines the deputation of these officials. The staff will assist the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) in managing the examination centres in both Srinagar and Jammu.
The deployment includes 38 officials assigned to centres in Srinagar and 18 officials for centres in Jammu. Personnel have been drawn from a diverse range of departments, including Revenue, Science and Technology, Floriculture, Skill Development, Social Welfare, School Education, Public Works (R&B), Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Transport, Rural Development, Forest, Industries and Commerce, Home, Jal Shakti, Housing and Urban Development, Health and Medical Education, Power Development, Culture, and Cooperative Department. This inter-departmental collaboration aims to leverage expertise and resources for the efficient organisation of the entrance test.
Officials designated for Srinagar centres include those holding positions such as Section Officers, In-charge Section Officers, Assistant Section Officers, Senior Secretariat Assistants, and Junior Secretariat Assistants. The list of 38 officials for Srinagar encompasses individuals like Nisar Ahmad Shah, Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh, Mohammad Iqbal Mir, Mukhtar Ahmad Rather, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Ajaz Ahmad Chiloo, Abdul Gani Bhat, Abdul Rashid Bhat, Reyaz Ahmad Rather, Mohammad Ayoub Ganaie, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat, Raja Mushtaq Khan, Zahir Ahmad Wani, Imtiyaz Ahmad Sangoo, Zahoor Ahmad Ganie, Manzoor Ahmad Banka, Bilal Ahmad Dar, Rouf Ahmad Jan, Abdul Majeed Loon, Riyaz Ahmad Mir, Ishfaq Ahmad Mir, Mansoor Ahmad Bhat, Bashrat Ahmad Bhat, Javid Ahmad Ganayee, Aaqib Yousuf Wani, Aqib Nisar Bulbul, Mohd Saleem Khan, Ishfaq Majid Shah, Gulzar Ahmad Dar, Tasleem Arif Bhat, Irshad Abdullah, Mohd Yaqub Bhat, Zahid Ul Islam Dar, Syed Basharat Hussain, Adil Bashir, Irfan Qadir, and Majid Ahad.
For the Jammu centres, the administration has assigned 18 officials. This group includes individuals serving as Section Officers, Assistant Section Officers, Senior Secretariat Assistants, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). The deployed officials for Jammu are Ghulam Jeelani Bhat, Mohd Ashraf Shah, Vijay Bali, Waiz Muzamil, Mohammad Altaf Wani, Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat, Mansoor Akhter Nayak, Furkan Ahmad Najar, Mohammad Shafi Rather, Ashish Dhar, Nadeem Khan, Vidhant Singh, Ritik Kumar, Rohit Kundal, Nisar Ahmad Malla, Ahsan Ul Haq, Mohammad Asraf Sofi, and Farooq Ahmad Dar.
The government has stipulated that these deputed staff members are to carry out the duties assigned to them by the BOPEE authorities. This measure is intended to facilitate a coordinated and seamless execution of the entrance examination, ensuring a fair and orderly process for all candidates. All deployed officials are required to report to the office of the Secretary, JK BOPEE, at their respective locations in Jammu or Srinagar on April 24, 2026, at 12 noon, for further instructions and briefings regarding their responsibilities.
