Information was available with The Chenab Times that the Chief Minister met with a delegation of education sector representatives in the Karnataka capital, highlighting the significant opportunities presented by the new legislation. The Jammu and Kashmir Private University Act was passed by the Legislative Assembly during a prior Budget Session and subsequently received assent from the Lieutenant Governor, formalizing its status as an Act.
During the engagement, Chief Minister Abdullah extended a direct invitation to educational institutions to establish a presence in Jammu and Kashmir.
