A young motorcyclist has died following a road accident in the Beerwah area of Budgam district in central Kashmir. The incident occurred near the Hayatpora Main Link on Friday.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the deceased has been identified as Haris Majeed, a resident of Gondipora in Beerwah. The accident reportedly happened when the motorcycle he was riding lost control, leading to critical injuries for the rider.
Local residents quickly responded to the scene and transported the injured youth to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Beerwah for immediate medical attention. However, medical personnel at the hospital pronounced him dead on arrival.
The news of Majeed’s death has cast a pall of grief over the Beerwah area. Police have registered a case and commenced an investigation to determine the precise circumstances that led to the fatal accident.
