Uttar Pradesh: Rahul Gandhi Warns of Impending Economic Shock Affecting Youth, Small Traders

Modi Surname Remarks: Rahul Gandhi Found Guilty and Sentenced to Jail in Criminal Defamation Case

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has cautioned that India is on the brink of a significant economic downturn, asserting that the repercussions will disproportionately impact the nation’s youth, labourers, and small businesses, rather than prominent industrialists or the current government leadership.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that Gandhi, while addressing reporters in his constituency of Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, stated that the country faces extremely challenging economic times ahead. He described the impending situation as a major economic ‘storm’ that has not been witnessed in many years, predicting that it would not spare the common populace.

The Lok Sabha MP further alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to adhere to his own calls for austerity. Gandhi pointed out the apparent contradiction of the Prime Minister advising against foreign travel for citizens while undertaking numerous international trips himself. “Instead of taking action, Narendra Modi is telling the country not to go on foreign trips, and Narendra Modi is making rounds across the world. This is the state,” Gandhi remarked.

Gandhi also expressed skepticism about the longevity of the economic framework he associates with industrialist families Ambani and Adani. He suggested that the structure, which he believes has been created under the current administration, is unsustainable and is destined to falter. “The structure, which he (Modi) has made — the one of Adani and Ambani, it will not remain intact, and will crumble. And, sadly, the loss will be felt by the common people. In other words, they will remain in their palaces, and the entire shock will be experienced by the youth and people of UP,” he stated.

Gandhi, who is the Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Raebareli, arrived at Lucknow airport on Tuesday and proceeded directly to his constituency. He was welcomed at the airport by the Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Rai and the Congress Legislative Party leader Aradhana Mishra.

This visit is part of a two-day tour of the Congress party’s traditional strongholds of Raebareli and Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. The party is keen to reassert its presence in these key constituencies.
