SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday addressed NCC cadets at a Special National Integration Camp, emphasizing the importance of unity in diversity and the role of youth in shaping India’s future. The camp, organized by the NCC Directorate of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, brought together 340 cadets and officers from across the nation.
NCC Cadets as Nation Builders
Information was available with The Chenab Times that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, while interacting with the National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets at the Special National Integration Camp, underscored the pivotal role of the youth in national progress. He described the camp as a testament to India’s spirit, where cadets are not merely observers but active participants in the nation’s journey.
The Lieutenant Governor conveyed that India places its trust in the younger generation to propel the country towards greater achievements. He urged the NCC cadets to honour this trust by embodying the core values of the NCC and disseminating these principles within their respective communities. Sinha highlighted that India’s enduring strength lies in its ability to foster unity amidst diversity, harmoniously blending various cultures into a singular national ethos.
He further advised the cadets to apply the leadership qualities and the spirit of unity in diversity cultivated during the camp towards societal betterment. The patriotism instilled at the camp, he noted, should be carried forward with dedication and responsibility to inspire youth in their home states and cities.
Youth: India’s Strength and Future Architects
Manoj Sinha observed that the youth within the NCC represent both the current strength of India and the architects of its future. He acknowledged that while the world is undergoing rapid changes that can destabilize nations, India’s youth are characterized by confidence and possess the skills to confront challenges with courage and competence.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasized the remarkable creative energy and proactive spirit of NCC cadets. He called for this energy to be channelized with a clear purpose, enabling them to face future adversies with resilience. Citing the NCC motto, “Unity and Discipline,” Sinha urged cadets to work towards fostering unity in their regions, resolving social issues through dialogue and mutual respect, and contributing to the vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat).
Cultural Showcase at the Camp
The event also featured vibrant cultural performances by the NCC cadets, which served as a vivid exhibition of India’s rich cultural tapestry. The Special National Integration Camp successfully convened 340 cadets and NCC officers from all corners of the country, fostering camaraderie and a shared sense of national purpose. Among those present were Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, Director General of the National Cadet Corps; Lieutenant General Balbir Singh, GoC, Chinar Corps; Major General Anupinder Bevli, Additional Director General NCC J&K and Ladakh Directorate; Major General Abhijit Mitra, GoC 31 Sub Area; Anshul Garg, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; Dr. GV Sundeep Chakravarthy, SSP Srinagar; Akshay Labroo, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar; Naseer Ahmad Wani, Director School Education Kashmir; Prof Sheikh Aijaz Bashir, Director Colleges, along with senior officials from NCC Directorates, the Army, Police, and civil administration.
