Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has declared that his protest against alleged examination and recruitment irregularities will persist until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. Dipke’s movement, which he plans to expand across the nation, saw a significant turnout at a recent demonstration in the capital.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that Dipke returned to his residence in the MIDC Waluj area of Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district on Sunday morning, where he was greeted by his family. Following his arrival, he addressed reporters, reiterating his demand for the Union Education Minister’s resignation.

Dipke asserted that the protest held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Saturday was successful, attracting between 6,000 and 7,000 participants. He stated unequivocally that the agitation would not cease until Dharmendra Pradhan steps down. “We won’t step back till Dharmendra Pradhan resigns,” he stated, indicating plans to launch a nationwide campaign. “We will roll out a further action plan to take this agitation nationwide,” Dipke added.

Hundreds of CJP supporters had gathered at Jantar Mantar on Saturday to demand Pradhan’s resignation over purported irregularities in competitive examinations and recruitment processes. Dipke, addressing the crowd, urged them not to be intimidated. Following the demonstration, CJP spokespersons announced at a press conference in Delhi that they would provide the central government one week to either dismiss Pradhan or secure his voluntary resignation. If their demands are not met within this timeframe, the party intends to initiate widespread protests across the country.

Dipke, the architect of the current protest, arrived in Delhi from the United States on Saturday morning. Upon his arrival at the airport, he was seen carrying a copy of B R Ambedkar’s autobiography. After obtaining permission from the Delhi Police, he proceeded to Jantar Mantar to participate in the demonstration.

Protesters at Jantar Mantar were seen holding placards calling for the Education Minister’s resignation. Many participants wore cockroach masks, which were distributed at the venue. Beyond the demand for Pradhan’s resignation, the demonstrators also voiced concerns regarding the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s alleged use of “Hindu-Muslim” politics, while simultaneously raising patriotic slogans like “Bharat Mata ki Jai.” The CJP’s action highlights a growing discontent over the transparency and fairness of national examination and recruitment processes, signalling a potential for broader public engagement on such issues.
