Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Inspects Damage at Historic Gada Dari Temple

Jammu, June 8: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday visited the historic Gada Dari Temple within the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex in Jammu to assess damage sustained by the centuries-old shrine.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that during the inspection, the Lieutenant Governor reviewed the extent of the damage and issued directives to concerned officials for immediate restoration and preservation of the heritage structure. He underscored the importance of safeguarding the region’s rich cultural and religious heritage, emphasizing that restoration work must be completed within a stipulated timeframe while meticulously preserving the temple’s original architectural character.

Officials provided the Lieutenant Governor with a briefing concerning the circumstances that led to the damage and presented the proposed restoration plan. He subsequently instructed the administration and the executing agencies to accelerate the necessary conservation efforts to prevent any further deterioration of the historic site.
