Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, is abuzz with anticipation for the opening One Day International (ODI) cricket match between India and Afghanistan, scheduled to take place at the picturesque Dharamsala Cricket Stadium. Ahead of the fixture, local traditions intertwined with faith saw former Union Minister and Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur, alongside Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) officials, participating in special prayers at the Indrunag Temple. These rituals are a long-standing custom in the Kangra and Dharamsala region, seeking the blessings of Lord Indrunag, revered as a protector and a deity associated with favourable weather and prosperity.
