SRINAGAR: The body of a man who had been missing for three days was found on Tuesday in the Chinar Bagh area near Dalgate, Srinagar, officials have confirmed.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the deceased has been identified as Nazir Ahmad Sofi, a 50-year-old resident of Wathwara, Chadoora, in the Budgam district of central Kashmir. He was the son of Ghulam Rasool Sofi.
Police were alerted to the discovery of the body in the Chinar Bagh locality. Upon reaching the scene, authorities initiated the necessary legal and procedural formalities. Preliminary reports suggest that Mr. Sofi had been reported missing approximately three days prior to the recovery of his body. The exact circumstances that led to his death remain unclear at this stage.
