Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar visited the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday to offer prayers at the revered cave shrine.
The Chenab Times has learned that the actor undertook the pilgrimage amid tight security arrangements, spending time at the shrine to perform religious rituals and pay his respects. His presence drew the attention of devotees and visitors at the popular pilgrimage site, many of whom gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor during his spiritual journey.
Kumar’s visit occurs at a time when the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine is experiencing a consistent influx of pilgrims from various parts of the country. The actor’s visit generated considerable enthusiasm among the devotees and tourists present at the location.
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, situated in the Trikuta Hills of the Reasi district, is recognised as one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in India, attracting millions of devotees annually. The shrine is managed by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
Officials ensured that arrangements for the actor’s visit and the general flow of pilgrims were seamless, allowing devotees to continue their pilgrimage without significant disruption. The actor departed after completing his prayers and rituals at the shrine.
