A 33-year-old woman from Chhattisgarh was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband following an argument at a brick kiln in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab on Friday morning. The incident took place in Dagan village, under the jurisdiction of Hajipur police station, prompting an immediate police investigation.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the deceased has been identified as Jyoti, a native of Chhattisgarh, who was working as a migrant labourer along with her husband, Lakshmi Narayan, at the kiln. Station House Officer Harpreet Singh confirmed that the police received information about the incident and dispatched teams to the location.
