Noor Singla, a resident of Patiala, Punjab, has achieved the coveted All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the Chartered Accountant (CA) Final Examination. The results, declared by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India on Thursday, saw Singla emerge as the nation’s top scorer.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that Noor Singla secured an impressive 499 out of 600 marks, translating to 83.17 percent. This outstanding performance has positioned him at the pinnacle of the highly competitive national examination.

Hailing from a middle-class family in Patiala, Noor is the son of local businessman Gagandeep Singla and homemaker Sujata Singla. His academic success is further highlighted by his family background; one of his sisters is already a chartered accountant, while the other holds a postgraduate degree. This environment likely fostered a strong emphasis on education and professional achievement within the household.

Noor Singla received his early education at DAV Public School in Patiala. He later pursued and completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from Indira Gandhi National Open University. This academic path laid the foundation for his subsequent pursuit of the CA qualification.

Following the completion of his senior secondary education in 2022, Noor Singla opted for a self-study approach to prepare for the rigorous CA examinations. He has attributed a significant part of his success to the continuous guidance and motivation provided by his elder sister, who is a chartered accountant. Her insights and support were instrumental throughout his preparation journey.

This is not the first instance of Noor Singla achieving national recognition in his academic pursuits. Previously, he had secured AIR 2 in the CA Intermediate examination. His recent success in the CA Final, securing AIR 1, adds another significant milestone to his academic credentials, solidifying his reputation as a high-achiever and serving as an inspiration to aspiring chartered accountants across India.

The achievement has been met with widespread celebration from family members, teachers, and well-wishers, who have lauded Noor Singla’s dedication and hard work. The success is being regarded as a proud moment not only for Patiala but for the entire state of Punjab, underscoring the region’s capacity for academic excellence at the national level.
