President Droupadi Murmu stated on Saturday that India has consistently championed peace globally, asserting that dialogue, not warfare, is the path to resolving international disputes. She made these remarks during a public gathering in Rairangpur, located in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.
The Chenab Times has learned that President Murmu emphasized India’s role in spreading messages of peace whenever the world faced conflicts and uncertainties. She articulated that resolutions to issues are best achieved through mutual discussion rather than through acts of war. Her address coincided with the second-anniversary celebrations of the state’s BJP government, which she attended alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
President Murmu lauded Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, attributing the enhancement of India’s international standing to his “influential leadership.” She commended his dedication to the nation and its citizens. The President also highlighted India’s adept crisis management capabilities, citing the nation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a prime example. During the pandemic, India not only successfully administered vaccines to its own population but also extended assistance by providing vaccines to numerous foreign countries.
Furthermore, President Murmu pointed out that India has consistently been among the first nations to offer support to countries experiencing natural calamities. This recurring action underscores India’s humanitarian approach and its willingness to assist the global community during times of distress.
