JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested three individuals in connection with an alleged sex racket that was reportedly operating from a residential property in the Akhnoor area of Jammu district.
The Chenab Times has learned that the operation was initiated following specific intelligence inputs regarding alleged immoral trafficking activities taking place at a house located in Ward No. 2, Kashmiri Mohalla, Akhnoor.
A swift raid was conducted by law enforcement officials, leading to the apprehension of three suspects. The individuals identified have been named as Ravi Gupta, the owner of the house and a resident of Ward No. 2 Akhnoor; Sarishta Devi, who hails from Chowki Choura in Akhnoor; and Sahil Sharma, a resident of Sungal Akhnoor.
In response to the alleged activities, police have registered a formal case. The FIR number 164/2026 has been filed at the Police Station Akhnoor, invoking relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
Authorities stated that the investigation is ongoing, with a primary objective to identify any other individuals potentially involved in the operation and to thoroughly ascertain the full extent of these alleged activities. The police department has indicated that such actions against immoral trafficking and organized criminal enterprises will persist within the district.
