The Chenab Times has learned that Nainar Nagenthran, a prominent leader of the Tamil Nadu BJP, publicly challenged the veracity of statements made by a state minister concerning the land acquisition and development plans for the new airport. Nagenthran alleged that the incumbent Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government, led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, is actively working to stall economic growth and diminish job prospects for young people in Tamil Nadu.
The controversy stems from the proposed site for a new international airport at Parandur, an initiative that has faced considerable opposition and debate.
