SEIL Energy India Limited, a prominent independent power producer, has been recognized with the ‘National CSR & ESG Award 2026 (Silver)’ in the Healthcare category. The award, presented by CSR Times at the 13th National CSR & ESG Summit in New Delhi, acknowledges the company’s significant contributions to community healthcare through its ‘Integrated Community Healthcare Ecosystem’ initiative.

Albert David Peter, Head – CSR, and S Kameswara Rao, Senior Manager, CSR, accepted the award on behalf of SEIL Energy. Janmejaya Mahapatra, CEO of SEIL Energy India Limited, stated that the recognition reflects the company’s dedication to creating sustainable social impact beyond its core business operations. He emphasized the belief that powering industries and homes comes with a responsibility to build healthier communities, noting that the Integrated Community Healthcare Ecosystem aims to make quality healthcare more accessible, affordable, and inclusive for rural populations.

Comprehensive Healthcare Approach in Andhra Pradesh

The award specifically commends SEIL Energy’s sustained efforts to enhance healthcare access for underserved communities in the SPSR Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh. The company’s flagship initiative employs a comprehensive and integrated healthcare model that includes Mobile Medical Units, Health & Wellness Centres, Community Eye Care Programmes, and Comprehensive Cancer Screening Programmes. These services deliver preventive, primary, and specialized healthcare directly to rural communities.

Collectively, these healthcare programs have benefited approximately 1.40 lakh individuals, leading to significant improvements in health outcomes and the overall quality of life in the region. This recognition highlights SEIL Energy’s commitment to leveraging its corporate social responsibility efforts to foster well-being and address critical healthcare needs within the communities it serves.

SEIL Energy India Limited operates a 2,640 MW supercritical thermal power complex in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, and plays a vital role in meeting the state’s energy demands.
