Ashok Koul, the General Secretary (Organization) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir, has underscored the significance of recent ‘Tiranga Rallies’ in fostering a sense of national unity and patriotism across the region. These rallies, held in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, are part of a broader national campaign aimed at strengthening the spirit of nationalism, particularly in the lead-up to Independence Day.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, which encourages citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes, establishments, and workplaces, has seen enthusiastic participation from BJP leaders and workers. Ashok Koul has been a prominent figure in these events, leading and addressing rallies that aim to connect with the public and reinforce the BJP’s commitment to national integrity and development.
In remarks made during these events, Koul has consistently emphasized that the Tiranga is not merely a flag but a symbol of India’s pride, sacrifices, and unity. He has urged citizens, especially the youth, to draw inspiration from the nation’s martyrs and remain dedicated to protecting the country’s sovereignty and integrity. The rallies have been described as celebrations of unity, progress, and the spirit of a ‘Naya Kashmir,’ reflecting hope and an unwavering commitment to India’s future.
The BJP has organized these ‘Tiranga Yatras’ and rallies across multiple states, including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha, with similar events taking place throughout Jammu and Kashmir. These initiatives are part of a nationwide push by the party to mobilize the youth and promote patriotism. Leaders have highlighted that these campaigns are becoming powerful mediums to spread the spirit of patriotism to every individual and contribute to the resolve of building a ‘developed India.’
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign holds added significance this year, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram.’ BJP leaders have stated that the campaign aims to deepen national love and the sense of national unity. The party’s outreach efforts extend to various districts, talukas, and villages, with an open invitation to social organizations and like-minded groups to participate in this patriotic movement.
In Jammu, a grand ‘Tiranga Bike Rally’ was organized from Balidan Stambh, drawing significant participation from party leaders, workers, youth, and women. Leaders present, including Ashok Koul, highlighted that the Tricolour represents the courage of the armed forces and the sacrifices of freedom fighters. They reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding India’s unity and integrity and encouraged widespread participation in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, aiming to make it a people’s movement.
Ashok Koul has also been active in engaging with public delegations and discussing local concerns and developmental matters in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir. He has assured prompt redressal of genuine issues and emphasized the BJP’s commitment to public service, accountability, and maintaining close contact with the citizens to ensure governance remains responsive to public needs. The party asserts its dedication to the development and peace of Jammu and Kashmir, working towards a ‘Naya Kashmir’ with zero tolerance for separatism and a focus on progress and national integration.
