SRINAGAR: Paras Health Srinagar is set to organize a free multispeciality health camp on August 23, offering residents complimentary consultations with specialists across more than a dozen medical disciplines.

The camp will be conducted at Paras Health, Durganag, Dalgate Bridge, Munshi Bagh, Srinagar, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that the initiative is aimed at promoting preventive healthcare, early detection, and timely medical consultation. Attendees will have the opportunity to seek advice from specialists in internal medicine, cardiology, orthopaedics, medical and surgical oncology, obstetrics and gynaecology, gastro sciences, neurology, neurosurgery, pulmonology, nephrology, urology, and paediatrics.

In addition to free outpatient department (OPD) consultations, participants can avail complimentary blood pressure and blood sugar tests. The hospital has also announced a 20 percent discount on laboratory and radiology services for those attending the camp.

Dr. Murtuza Haibib, Facility Director at Paras Health Srinagar, stated that the initiative is intended to make specialist medical advice more accessible to the public. He emphasized that the camp provides residents an opportunity to consult with specialists, undergo basic health screenings, and gain a better understanding of the importance of early diagnosis and preventive care.

Dr. Shafat Ahmad Kenu of Paras Health Srinagar added that the camp aims to bring specialists from various fields closer to the community, offering people a chance to seek advice on concerns related to cardiac, orthopaedic, neurological, gastrointestinal, respiratory, renal, urological, oncological, women’s, and children’s health.

The specialist panel assembled for the event includes prominent doctors such as Dr. Mohsin Raj Mantoo, Consultant for Interventional Cardiology; Dr. Yawar Haider, Consultant for Orthopaedics; Dr. Naeem Firdous Dar, Principal Consultant for Pulmonology; Saqib Ahmad Shah, Consultant for Medical and Hemato-Oncology; and Dr. Shabnam Bashir, Director of Surgical Oncology.

Further enhancing the expertise available, the panel will also feature Dr. Hamza Wani, Associate Director for Surgical Gastroenterology and GI & Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery; Dr. Misba Hul Bashir Masoodi, Consultant for Gastroenterology; Dr. Rahil Rafiq and Dr. Irfan Hussain Bhat, both consultants in neurosurgery; Dr. Toufeeq Ahmad Mir, Senior Consultant for Neurology; Dr. Rouf Hussain Tak, Principal Consultant for Internal Medicine and Rheumatology; Dr. Sadia Lanker, Senior Consultant for Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Dr. Sarafaraz Ahmad Kasana, Associate Consultant for Paediatrics and Gynaecology; Dr. Muzzamil A. Andrabi, Associate Consultant for Nephrology; and Dr. Younis Mushtaq, Associate Consultant for Urology.
