POONCH, Jammu and Kashmir: A 50-year-old labourer died after a wall at a crusher unit collapsed in the Uchhad area of Mendhar, Poonch district, on Wednesday.
The Chenab Times has learned that the incident occurred at a crusher unit where the deceased, identified as Tasaduq Hussain, son of Said Mohammad, a resident of Chatral village in Rajouri district, was employed. Hussain sustained critical injuries when a cemented wall at the unit suddenly gave way.
He was promptly transported to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Mendhar for immediate medical attention. Despite efforts to save him, Hussain succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Following the medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for the performance of last rites. The local police have registered a case concerning the incident and have initiated further investigations into the matter.
