KISHTWAR, Sept. 24: Kishtwar Police on Thursday said it had traced two missing girls reported from the jurisdiction of Police Post Drabshalla and reunited them with their families after completing legal formalities.
According to details received by The Chenab Times, the first missing report was registered at Police Post Drabshalla on September 8 regarding Sonu Bala, 19, daughter of Sewa Ram and a resident of Balgran in Kishtwar district.
Police said a team was constituted and sustained efforts were launched to trace the missing girl. During the investigation, she was traced from Chanti village in Gandoh area of Doda district.
In a separate case, police received a missing report on August 4 regarding Anjli Devi, 19, daughter of Sewa Ram and a resident of Balgran in Kishtwar district. Following continued search efforts, police traced her from Kundi village in the Premnagar area of Doda district.
Police said all necessary legal formalities were completed in both cases before the two girls were safely handed over to their families. The respective missing reports have been closed.
Kishtwar Police said it remains committed to tracing missing persons and ensuring their safe reunion with their families.
