Russian forces launched ballistic missile attacks on Ukraine’s capital overnight Wednesday, resulting in at least two fatalities and damage to civilian infrastructure.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that explosions reverberated across central Kyiv in the early hours of Wednesday, around 3 a.m.

According to a statement from the Kyiv City Military Administration, one rocket impacted a non-residential building in the Podilskyi district, triggering a fire.

In the Darnytskyi district, a separate rocket strike ignited a fire at a garage complex. Officials reported that the blaze was successfully extinguished and the site sustained damage. Debris from the attack was also discovered in an adjacent open area.

The administration confirmed the deaths of two individuals as a direct consequence of the attack, though further details regarding the victims were not immediately disclosed.

Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, stated that the wider Kyiv region experienced a coordinated assault involving both drones and ballistic missiles. He noted that in the Obukhiv district, three production and storage facilities were damaged. Fires erupted at these locations but were subsequently contained. A truck and trailer were also reported to have sustained damage.
