JAMMU, October 8: A 63-year-old man was discovered in an unconscious state in the main market area of Vijaypur, Samba district, and was later declared dead.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the individual was found lying unresponsive near a petrol pump situated along the National Highway in the Vijaypur main market on Thursday morning.
According to official reports, the man was immediately transported to the Government Hospital Vijaypur. Upon arrival, the attending physician pronounced him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Jagdish Raj, son of Dhani Ram, a resident of Thalori Gujran village, also within Vijaypur.
Police have registered a case concerning the incident and have commenced further investigation into the matter. The circumstances surrounding his unconsciousness and subsequent death are under examination.
