Teachers of education Zone Thathri worried over repeated scams and corruption

 Thathri(Doda): Education Zone Thathri, District Doda which has regularly remained in news for corruption related activities since the beginning of 2018 has defamed the whole education department and is paying very negative impact on education of children and the reputation of teachers. The teachers of the zone are facing  humiliation and dishonour in the society due to the regular news of corruption on social media and print media. It is pertinent to mention here that first a video went viral in social media in which a laborer is claiming the bribery of Rupees 20000 for his engagement as cook and cpw by the ZEO. The enquiry committee was constituted but the enquiry report has been hushed up by the authorities. To silence the public cry the drawing and disbursing Power has been shared between principal HSS JANGALWAR and Headmaster Boys High school Thathri who is also in charge ZEO. Another news went viral into social media and print media in which it surfaced that one clerk Chur Chand Sharma has lost and destroyed the service book of Ramesh Kumar and has also taken rupees 44000 from him as bribe the clerk is also involved in tempering and overwriting the service records of the teachers. The higher authorities constituted the enquiry committee to prob the matter but that report has been also hushed up.  It has also surfaced that despite funds being available ZEO Thathri failed to give free uniform to the government school children till the end of the session. While speaking to this news agency general secretary of J&KRETTF Rashpal Singh lambasted the government for giving free hand to corruption in education department in zone Thathri. He castigated the government for not probing the allegations in depth so that the truth comes out before the society as well as the teachers. Another teacher Irfan Ahmed told that the successive scams in education department is very shameful and it has brought humiliation to the teachers as well in the society. Another teacher Manjeet Singh told that the hushing up of the enquiry reports regarding the clerk Chur Chand Sharma and ZEO Thathri shows that the higher authorities are shielding the culprits and promoting the corruption in the department. He told that the  higher authorities have become the mute spectators and have given the free hands to corruption in education department. Zakir Butt senior leader of the J&KRETTF who is known for raising voice against  corruption and mismanagement  in the entire District Doda has also shown astonishment over the mute behaviour of the higher authorities regarding the continuous news corruption and mismanagement in the education Thathri. When contacted Zonal president JKRETTF Thathri Naseer Ahmed Batt told that the corruption in education Zone Thathri is a big menace and needs to be resolved. He appealed the Governor administration intervene into matter and save the education and the career of poor students from the corrupt officials.
