The Chenab Times has learned that the IndiGo flight, number 6E 579, carrying 160 passengers on board a Boeing 737 aircraft, encountered the engine issue en route to the national capital. A full emergency was declared at the Indira Gandhi International Airport at 10:39 AM due to the critical situation.
According to flight tracking data, the aircraft successfully landed at the airport at 10:59 AM. Airport officials and airline representatives were on standby to manage the emergency landing. Further details regarding the specific cause of the engine failure and the condition of the aircraft are expected to be released following an investigation.
Aviation safety protocols mandate immediate response and declarations of emergency when critical system failures, such as engine malfunctions, are detected mid-flight.
