The Chenab Times has learned that grieving family members gathered at the hospital soon after the incident. Officials from the project site, including the General Manager, also reached the facility to offer support.
Authorities have made arrangements for the post-mortem examination. Once all legal formalities are completed, the body of Neeraj Kumar will be handed over to his family for last rites in their village.
Kishtwar, a district in the Chenab Valley region of Jammu and Kashmir, is known for its challenging mountainous terrain and ongoing infrastructure projects, including hydropower initiatives. Such road accidents remain a concern in the hilly areas due to narrow and winding routes, especially during early morning hours when visibility and road conditions can pose risks.
No other injuries were reported in this single-vehicle incident. Police have registered a case and are investigating the exact cause, including possible factors like mechanical failure or road conditions.
