SRINAGAR: A 25-year-old man has died in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir after suffering a fatal electric shock while at work. The incident occurred on Thursday, leading to the immediate hospitalisation of the victim, who was subsequently declared deceased.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Fareed, son of Mohd Nazir, and a resident of Khari Karma in Poonch district. He reportedly received a severe electric shock during his work activities.
Following the incident, Mohammad Fareed was promptly transported to a local hospital. Medical professionals at the facility examined him and confirmed that he had been brought in dead. The severity of the electric shock was cited as the cause of his untimely demise.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the electrocution. The local police have registered a case pertaining to the incident. Further inquiries are underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the accident and to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
