A woman was killed while some buffaloes also got perished after a landslide hit Khour area of Mahore sub-division in Reasi district.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that three persons were buried under the debris after a landslide hit Khour area on the intervening night of August 24-25 due to the heavy rainfall.
He identified them as Khalil Ahmed (30) son of Muhammad Rafiq of Jamlan, his wife Raksana Begam (25) and Mohammad Aslam son of Muhammad Rafiq—all residents of Mahore.
He said the body of Raksana has been retrieved while searches for others was going on.
“Reportedly some buffaloes have also got perished after the landslide hit the area,” the official said.
