Bharti Airtel, a prominent telecommunications provider in India, has announced new postpaid plans offering enhanced benefits, including a complimentary international roaming package valid for one trip annually. This move aims to provide customers with greater value and a superior service experience.
The Chenab Times has learned that effective October 8, 2026, customers opting for these updated Airtel Postpaid plans will receive an international roaming pack bundled with their subscription. This pack includes 5GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS, and free incoming SMS, valid for five days. Customers can choose the activation time for this benefit, offering flexibility for their travel needs.
For individuals on Airtel Postpaid family plans, the free international roaming offer extends to every family member included in the plan. This initiative is an addition to the existing benefits of Airtel Postpaid, which already features advanced technologies like Fast Lane for improved network experience, unlimited data options, and network-level protection against spam and fraudulent links. Subscribers also gain access to a variety of entertainment subscriptions and exclusive experiences through the Airtel Postpaid Advantage Club, encompassing events such as comedy shows, movie premieres, and concerts.
Amit Tripathi, Director – Market Operations at Bharti Airtel, stated that the company’s focus for its postpaid service is to deliver a best-in-class experience in the Indian market. He highlighted Airtel’s strong network, including Fast Lane technology on its 5G network and continuous protection against spam and fraud. Tripathi further emphasized the value offered to customers through access to enriching entertainment and services, now including free international roaming, indicating a commitment to continuously enhance customer offerings.
Customers can avail these new plans starting October 8, 2026. Existing Airtel customers, whether on older postpaid plans or prepaid services, can upgrade via the Airtel App or by visiting an Airtel store. New customers can switch to Airtel Postpaid by initiating a request through the Airtel App or visiting an Airtel store.
The ₹499 Individual Postpaid Plan includes unlimited data and calling, spam and fraud prevention, Xstream Play Premium, and Google One subscriptions. It also provides one free international roaming trip per SIM per year.
Designed for families, the ₹749 Family Postpaid Plan caters to two members and offers unlimited data and calling, along with spam and fraud prevention. Subscribers receive Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium, and Google One subscriptions, plus one free international roaming trip per SIM per year.
The ₹1049 Family Postpaid Plan is suitable for a family of three. It provides unlimited data and calling, spam and fraud prevention, and subscriptions to Apple iCloud+, Apple Music, Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium, and Google One. This plan also includes one free international roaming trip per SIM per year.
For a family of four, the ₹1249 Family Postpaid Plan offers unlimited data and calling, spam and fraud prevention, and subscriptions to Apple iCloud+, Apple Music, Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium, and Google One. Each SIM included in the plan receives one free international roaming trip annually.
Another plan for families of four, the ₹1449 Family Postpaid Plan, provides unlimited data and calling, spam and fraud prevention, and a broader range of subscriptions including Netflix Basic, Apple iCloud+, Apple Music, Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium, and Google One. This plan also includes one free international roaming trip per SIM per year.
The ₹1799 Family Postpaid Plan is designed for a family of five and includes unlimited data and calling, spam and fraud prevention. Subscribers benefit from subscriptions to Netflix Standard, Apple iCloud+, Apple Music, Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium, and Google One.
