THATHRI (DODA), November 4, 2026: Engagement orders were distributed to newly selected Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) of Poshan Project Thathri during a ceremony held in Thathri on Wednesday.
The Chenab Times has learned that the orders were formally distributed by District Programme Officer (DPO), Mission Poshan Doda, Akther Hussain Qazi (JKAS).
The ceremony was attended by Tehsildar Thathri, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Thathri and Station House Officer (SHO) Thathri. Sector Supervisors, Anganwadi Workers, Anganwadi Helpers and local residents also participated in the programme.
Addressing the newly selected workers, Qazi congratulated them on their selection and highlighted their role in delivering health, nutrition and early childhood care services at the grassroots level.
He urged them to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, transparency and empathy, particularly in ensuring that the benefits of Mission Poshan reach pregnant women, lactating mothers and children.
The officers present also emphasised the importance of community participation and coordination between the local administration, police and Anganwadi functionaries for the effective implementation of government welfare schemes.
The ceremony was organised by the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Poshan Project Thathri, under the Department of Social Welfare, District Doda.
