Druski, the popular internet comedian, hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time and featured in a sketch that parodied the documentary “You Can See Everything,” which chronicled the final days of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes before her prison sentence.
The sketch, titled “Dru Can See Everything,” saw Druski playing a documentarian observing Holmes (portrayed by Jane Wickline) and her partner Billy Evans (Ben Marshall). The comedic segment humorously mirrored tense and awkward moments from the original documentary, including a notorious staring contest between Holmes and documentarian Nathan Fielder.
A notable element of the sketch was Druski’s own transformation into Elizabeth Holmes. In a callback to his previous viral “whiteface” sketches, Druski donned a blonde wig and heavy makeup to impersonate the convicted fraudster, a move that directly referenced his prior work and sparked discussion about his comedic approach.
The sketch also included a satirical take on Holmes’s fraudulent Theranos blood-testing device. Druski’s character delivered a scathing, humorous review of the device, further highlighting the parody’s critical edge.
The episode also featured other comedic sketches, including a political satire segment titled “Washington in Focus” and a humorous take on a Dominican phone store. Druski also showcased his versatility in other sketches, including one involving an overly enthusiastic marriage proposal and a parody of an ’80s hip-hop group.
Druski’s hosting gig marked a significant milestone, as he is reportedly the first content creator of his kind to host SNL without a prior mainstream breakthrough, underscoring his considerable online influence.
